Assistant Store Manager

We are seeking a skilled professional to fill an Assistant Store Manager position as part of our growth campaign.

Job Overview:

This role involves leading a team alongside the Store Manager and deputising for them in their absence. The store management team is dedicated to representing the SPAR and EUROSPAR brands, leading from the front and accountable for the day-to-day running, management and performance of the store.

  • Leading a team to achieve excellent retail standards and deliver high customer satisfaction.
  • Managing targets, controlling costs and driving sales and other key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Upholding high standards while managing the store's day-to-day operations.

You will strive to achieve exceptional retail results and lead by example, inspiring your team to deliver the highest level of customer service. If you thrive on achieving excellent retail results and love being at the heart of the community, you will enjoy working in a company-owned store at Henderson Retail.

Requirements:
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience of leading and developing a team within a fast-paced retail or quick service food environment.
  • Excellent time management, delegation and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in the use of IT packages including Microsoft Office and retail technology systems.
  • Total customer focus, passionate about local community retailing along with the ability to motivate and inspire others to deliver the best possible service.
