
Care Support Specialist

This is a challenging and rewarding role for a compassionate individual who wants to make a positive difference in the lives of people with intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, and acquired brain injuries.
As a healthcare assistant, you will be working in residential or day service settings where you will provide support and care to individuals with complex needs.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Support individuals with daily living activities such as personal care, mobility, mealtimes, and medication (where appropriate).
- Promote independence, dignity, and quality of life for service users.
- Assist individuals with engaging in meaningful activities and hobbies.
- Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality care and support.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to care planning.
- Ensure a safe and supportive environment at all times.
- A relevant QQI Level 5 qualification (or working towards it) is highly desirable.
- Previous experience working in a care setting is preferred but not essential.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.
- A genuine passion for supporting individuals with additional needs is essential.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and evenings if required.
