Activity Coordinator

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Activity Coordinator to join our dynamic team.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of older people. As an Activity Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning and implementing engaging activities that promote social interaction, physical activity, and cognitive stimulation.

You will work closely with our residents to understand their interests and preferences, and develop programs that cater to their needs. Your goal will be to create a positive and inclusive environment that fosters a sense of community and belonging.

This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. If you are a motivated and creative individual who is committed to delivering exceptional care, we want to hear from you

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and implement engaging activities that promote social interaction, physical activity, and cognitive stimulation.
  • Work closely with residents to understand their interests and preferences, and develop programs that cater to their needs.
  • Create a positive and inclusive environment that fosters a sense of community and belonging.
  • Maintain accurate records of resident engagement and activity participation.
Requirements:
  • FETAC/QQI Level 5 in Healthcare or a related field.
  • Additional training in Care of the Older Person, Dementia Care, or Palliative Care is desirable.
  • Valid certifications: CPR, Infection Control, Manual Handling, and Safeguarding.
  • Experience working in elderly care within a residential setting.
