Site Manager Job

The role of a Site Manager is crucial in ensuring the successful delivery of interior fit-out and refurbishment projects. As a key member of the project team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations on site.

Job Description:

  • Manage daily site operations for interior fit-out projects.
  • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, suppliers, and tradespeople.
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations, conduct site inductions, and toolbox talks.
  • Monitor project timelines, identify and resolve delays or issues promptly.
  • Liaise with the project manager, architects, designers, and clients to ensure clear communication.
  • Maintain site records, including progress reports, daily diaries, and health & safety documentation.
  • Ensure high-quality standards are met and maintained throughout the project.
  • Order and manage materials to avoid shortages or overstocking.
  • Attend site meetings and provide updates on progress and any challenges.
  • Ensure the site is kept tidy and secure at all times.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • A proven ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.
  • Strong understanding of construction drawings and specifications.
  • Experience managing multiple subcontractors and trades.
  • Proven experience as a Site Manager, ideally in interior fit-out projects.
  • Valid SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) or SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme).
  • First Aid qualification.
