Care Assistant Role in Roscommon
We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Assistant to join our team at a well-established Nursing Home in Roscommon. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who wish to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the physical and emotional well-being of our residents. You will work closely with nurses and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care and promote independence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with daily personal care including bathing, dressing, and toileting
- Support residents with mobility and mealtime assistance
- Monitor and report changes in residents' health or behaviour
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Promote a safe and clean environment
- Provide companionship and emotional support
Requirements:
- QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support (or equivalent)
- Previous experience in a care setting preferred but not essential
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate, patient, and reliable
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently
- Fluent English (spoken and written)
