EMEA Employment Law Specialist

Job Summary
We are seeking an EMEA Employment Counsel to join our team. As a key member of our global legal function, you will provide expert employment law guidance to our People team and other stakeholders. This is a unique opportunity to work with a talented team and make a significant impact on Stripe's growth and success.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic employment law advice on recruiting, hiring, performance management, compensation, benefits, leaves of absence, people data privacy, internal investigations, working time, and HR best practices.
- Review and update employment policies to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain employment compliance and support business growth.
- Draft and negotiate employment-related agreements, including offer letters, contractor agreements, and vendor agreements.
- Work closely with other members of the Legal team on pre-litigation and litigation matters.
- Stay up-to-date on employment and data protection laws, advising on developments that may impact Stripe's business.
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years of specialist employment law experience at a leading law firm or in-house legal department, preferably in-house or with technology clients.
- Qualification to practice law in Ireland or England/Wales.
- A proven ability to analyze complex employment law matters, exercising sound judgment in balancing legal risks and business needs.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong organization and project management skills, with the ability to work effectively on multiple projects.
- Decisive and capable of making smart decisions in uncertain situations.
