
Project Coordinator Specialist

The Contract Manager plays a pivotal role in the coordination, management, and delivery of assigned projects. This includes ensuring they are completed profitably, safely, on time, and to an acceptable standard while maintaining strong client relationships.
The Contract Manager will be responsible for multiple live projects and will also be involved in pre-construction stages and post-construction issues that may arise after practical completion.
- Participate in the tendering process including input into programme development, methodologies, quality submissions, and playing an active role at post-tender interviews.
- Evaluate safety inspections, manage health, safety, and welfare responsibilities, and establish a safe site for the duration of the works.
- Manage all pre-construction activities, including obtaining necessary licenses and ensuring contract documentation is in place prior to project commencement.
- Develop a risk register with mitigation measures identified and implemented during various project stages.
- Create contract programmes, construction programmes, and methodology with assistance from the contract planner and communicate to site management.
- Develop and implement short-term programmes with key subcontractors at various project stages.
- Liaise with high-level subcontractor management to address any problems with progress or quality of works.
- Issue contractual notifications to subcontractors or the contract administrator when works are delayed or have potential to be delayed.
- Record subcontractor pre-start meetings and attend subcontractor progress meetings as needed.
- Complete formal appointments of temporary works coordinator, designers, and supervisors. Produce subcontractor and material procurement schedules and track progress during the project.
- Gain a full understanding of employer requirements, contractor proposals, detailed design, and specification, and maintain knowledge throughout the construction process.
- Monitor quality assurance and snagging systems during the construction stage and post-completion.
- Respond to post-completion issues, ensuring timely and efficient resolution to any defects or matters raised by the client.
