Job Overview

As a senior project leader, you will oversee the Pre-Construction phase of projects, ensuring all activities are planned and executed efficiently within predefined parameters. You will lead and guide the team through strategic project pitches and ensure that project vision aligns with client expectations. This key leadership role will see your expertise instrumental in winning competitive bids and securing successful project initiation.

You will work closely with various teams as part of the Senior Management group.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct the preconstruction team to accomplish contractual requirements.
  • Define roles and responsibilities for the preconstruction services team.
  • Develop standards, processes, and practices for Preconstruction Services to be a 'Best of Class' provider in the construction industry.
  • Collaborate closely with clients to understand their unique requirements and co-create tailored solutions.
  • Conduct thorough quality assessments and develop strategies to mitigate potential challenges during the pre-construction phase.
  • Advocate for sustainable and environmentally responsible practices during the preconstruction phase.
  • Identify and assess relevant risks associated with any pre-construction activities.
  • Contribute to value engineering and alternatives in proposals.
  • Attend meetings with potential clients and develop relationships.
  • Maintain and expedite pre-construction practices and services for all teams on projects assigned.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with Estimating department staff on the development of project budgets.
  • Oversee the preparation of estimates into format for presentation.
  • Ensure the turnover of a project from Preconstruction and estimating to operations is done properly.
  • Stay updated with the latest construction technologies and methodologies.
