Job Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned Oracle Database Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our database administration group, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and support of our Oracle-based systems.

Your primary focus will be on ensuring the optimal performance, reliability, and scalability of our databases. This includes monitoring system metrics, identifying potential issues, and implementing solutions to prevent downtime.

You will work closely with our development team to ensure seamless integration with other applications and services. Your expertise in Oracle Forms, Reports, and WebLogic Server will be invaluable in this regard.

A strong understanding of backup and recovery procedures, including RMAN, Dataguard, and Data Pump utilities, is essential. You will also contribute to the enhancement and optimization of our current systems to meet evolving business needs.

Additionally, you will provide technical guidance and support to internal IT staff as needed. This may involve creating documentation, providing training, or mentoring junior team members.

Requirements:

  • At least 7 years of experience in Oracle database administration
  • Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification or equivalent
  • Expertise in Oracle Forms, Reports, and WebLogic Server
  • Strong knowledge of AIX operating system
  • Familiarity with backup and recovery procedures
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with upgrading Oracle software from 12c to 19c
  • Knowledge of Hyperion SQR reporting infrastructure
  • Familiarity with business continuity and disaster recovery planning
