Job Title: Environmental Health Safety Specialist

A challenging role has arisen for an experienced Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) professional to lead our EHS function.

  • We are looking for a highly skilled EHS Manager with a strong track record of success in managing EHS functions within large-scale manufacturing environments.
EHS Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the effective management of EHS systems, processes and procedures across the organisation. This will involve:

  1. Maintaining compliance with relevant EHS legislation and regulatory requirements.
  2. Developing, implementing and maintaining EHS policies, procedures and programs to ensure the health and safety of employees and visitors.
  3. Conducting regular site audits and inspections to identify potential EHS risks and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
  4. Providing training and guidance to employees on EHS matters.
  5. Investigating and reporting EHS incidents and near misses.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the EHS team to achieve EHS objectives.
  • Develop and implement EHS strategies and plans to reduce risk and improve performance.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant EHS laws, regulations and standards.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records and reports as required.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Provide technical advice and support to managers and staff on EHS matters.
Requirements
  • Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field.
  • At least 6 years' experience in EHS management in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and managing EHS functions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
