Job Details

A reliable, proactive, and detail-oriented store person and grounds keeper is required to ensure the smooth operation of hotel supplies and maintain the hotel's gardens and outdoor areas.

Duties
  • Receive and check all deliveries to ensure accuracy and quality of goods.
  • Safely store and rotate stock following proper procedures.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records using manual or digital systems.
  • Liaise with department heads regarding stock levels and ordering needs.
  • Ensure storage areas are clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
  • Assist in stock takes and audits as required.
  • Report any stock discrepancies or damaged goods promptly.
  • Maintain the hotel's gardens, lawns, car parks, bin yard, and walkways to a high standard.
  • Ensure the bin yard is clean, organized, and compliant with hygiene and waste management standards.
  • Carry out regular inspections of outdoor areas to ensure safety and cleanliness.
  • Manage waste disposal and recycling around the premises.
  • Assist with minor outdoor repairs and seasonal decorations.
  • Support other departments with manual handling tasks as needed.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
  • Knowledge of gardening and basic maintenance tasks is required.
  • Physically fit and capable of manual handling.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Familiarity with health & safety practices in both storekeeping and grounds maintenance.
  • Valid driver's license is advantageous.
