Job Title

Children's Residential Care Worker

About the Job

This position offers a chance to make a positive impact on young people who are in need of care and support. The ideal candidate will be able to provide individualized care that promotes growth, development, and well-being.

Responsibilities include developing and implementing behaviour support plans, supporting educational activities, delivering responsive residential care, maintaining accurate records, and participating in team meetings and training.

The successful candidate will have a minimum Level 7 qualification in Social Care or a relevant field, and will be familiar with the Irish National Standards in Children's Residential Centres.

Key skills include trauma-informed care, emotional intelligence, social learning, and non-violence.

Requirements
  • A full, clean manual driving licence valid in Ireland
  • Familiarity with the Irish National Standards in Children's Residential Centres
  • Experience working with teenagers exhibiting challenging behaviour
  • Right to work and live in Ireland
