About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Contract Manager to lead the commercial aspects of construction projects. Your primary responsibility will be to manage contracts, negotiate with stakeholders, and ensure project profitability.

Responsibilities
  • Draft and administer construction contracts, ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies.
  • Analyse tender submissions, cost estimates, and commercial proposals to make informed decisions.
  • Monitor project budgets, forecasts, and cash flows to identify areas for improvement.
  • Capture and mitigate commercial risks, exploring opportunities for growth and cost reduction.
  • Collaborate with procurement teams to align subcontractor agreements with commercial objectives.
  • Prepare and present regular commercial reports to senior management, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in construction contract management or quantity surveying, preferably in residential, commercial, or infrastructure sectors.
  • Proven track record of managing contracts, driving cost savings, and optimising commercial performance.
  • Familiarity with standard form contracts and construction-cost software.
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills, with excellent communication and stakeholder-management abilities.
Requirements
  • Professional certification in a relevant field (e.g., CIPS, RICS).
  • Excellent Microsoft Office Suite skills, particularly in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience working with diverse stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and suppliers.
