Location: Dublin 12 (Hybrid – 2 days on site). Salary: Competitive, based on experience. About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Underwriter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Property and Liability insurance.
This is a fantastic opportunity where you will play a key part in evaluating and underwriting multi-line commercial business, working closely with broker partners and internal sales teams to drive growth while maintaining underwriting discipline.
Key Responsibilities

  • Underwrite Commercial Property and Liability business in line with company standards and risk appetite.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with broker partners and internal stakeholders.
  • Support business growth by identifying and securing new opportunities while ensuring quality risk selection.
  • Utilize pricing tools and maintain underwriting discipline to achieve financial objectives.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior underwriting staff.
  • Monitor market trends and contribute to the development of product strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal underwriting policies.

You Need to Succeed
  • Experience in Commercial Underwriting, specifically within Property and Liability.
  • Strong technical knowledge of insurance products and underwriting principles.
  • Proven ability to make sound underwriting decisions and manage risk effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with a track record of building strong professional relationships.
  • Self-motivated, ambitious, and able to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
