Role Summary

This is a unique opportunity to work as an Inventory Control Specialist for Bristol Myers Squibb. You will be responsible for managing External Manufacturing owned inventory across various locations, including internal and external sites, as well as third-party warehouses. This role involves ensuring accurate inventory control, conducting regular reviews, and implementing improvements to optimize inventory management.

Main Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date inventory records, identifying and addressing discrepancies and inconsistencies.
  • Conduct regular inventory reviews, analyzing data to inform decisions and implement process improvements.
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to guide inventory management practices, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve inventory goals, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and provide timely updates.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and areas for cost reduction.
  • Implement cost recovery programs for excess and obsolete inventory, facilitating efficient disposal and minimizing losses.

Requirements

To excel in this position, you should have:

  • Proven experience in inventory management, preferably in a pharmaceutical industry setting.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and develop effective solutions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of inventory management systems, including SAP, and experience with data analysis tools.
  • APICS certification and a degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field.
