Culinary Operations Manager

Job Description:

We are currently recruiting for a Culinary Operations Manager to lead, manage and co-ordinate the day-to-day operation of our food service.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of food quality, nutrition, presentation and service. This includes designing and preparing menus, planning fine dining events and ensuring variety and cost-effectiveness.

In addition, the candidate will tailor recipes and menus for modified diets and perform tasks that support the efficient operation of the unit.

Purchasing and ordering stock and food is also a key responsibility of this role.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Maintain high standards of food quality, nutrition, presentation and service.
  2. Design and prepare menus, plan fine dining events and ensure variety and cost-effectiveness.
  3. Tailor recipes and menus for modified diets and perform tasks that support the efficient operation of the unit.
  4. Purchase and order stock and food.
Requirements:
  • A passion for service and quality.
  • Good people management skills.
  • Flexibility and ability to work on own initiative.
  • Responsibility of stock management.
  • Professionalism and effective communication at all levels.
  • An excellent knowledge of Food Hygiene including HACCP.
  • Food Production/Culinary Arts and/or operational experience in a Nursing Home or Healthcare Environment (preferable).
