Job Title: Academic Tutor/Learning Support Tutor

Job Description:

  • We are seeking an experienced and qualified Academic Tutor/Learning Support Tutor to provide one-to-one support to students within the university.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for revisiting course materials, preparing tutorial plans, and engaging in research to prepare for each session.
  • They will also assist students with exam revision, offer guidance on academic writing skills, and provide support with time management and organisational skills.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the subject area, including module content, assessment procedures, and other subject-specific information.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Appropriate Honours primary degree (second-class or higher) in the relevant area.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt teaching style to meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Flexibility in approach towards a diverse range of learners.

Benefits:

  • Hourly rate: €35.00.
  • Contract duration: Academic Year 2025/2026.
