Job Overview

This is a key leadership opportunity to drive the operational growth of a new financial advisory division.

We are seeking an experienced operations manager to join our team and lead the operational strategy, process improvement, and team management.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in life and pensions operations, with experience in a brokerage environment.

They will be responsible for leading a high-performing admin team, managing complex workflows, and implementing operational improvements.

The role requires excellent organisational skills, time management, and interpersonal communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement operational strategies to drive business growth and improve efficiency.
  • Lead a team of administrators, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities.
  • Manage complex workflows, prioritising tasks and projects to meet deadlines and deliver results.
  • Collaborate with compliance on process documentation, quality assurance, and regulatory integration.
  • Monitor and report on operational performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and standards.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a life and pensions operations role, ideally within a brokerage environment.
  • Qualified Financial Adviser (QFA) qualification mandatory.
  • Familiarity with broking platforms, life and pension provider systems, and financial products.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage complex workflows, and implement operational improvements.
  • Excellent organisational, time management, and interpersonal communication skills.
