Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmaceutical Sourcing Specialist to join our client's team in Dublin North. As a key member of the procurement team, you will be responsible for sourcing raw materials, collaborating with internal stakeholders and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.


Key Responsibilities
  • Sourcing and procurement of APIs, excipients and raw materials to meet commercial and R&D project requirements.
  • Liaising with internal teams, including Regulatory, Quality and R&D, to align sourcing initiatives with business objectives.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers to ensure high-quality products at competitive prices.
  • Designing and implementing procurement strategies to optimize costs and supplier performance.
  • Maintaining accurate records of purchases and supplier performance metrics.
  • Conducting market trend analysis and cost-benefit assessments to identify potential savings opportunities.
  • Ensuring compliance with procurement policies, industry regulations and sustainability initiatives.
  • Upgrading the ethical standards of the procurement function by promoting a culture of integrity and transparency.

Desirable Skills and Qualifications
  • Degree in Business Administration or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Pharma industry experience, preferably with knowledge of GMP practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills to develop strong vendor relationships.
  • Effective communication style suitable for various organizational levels.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • A keen eye for detail and capacity to thrive in complex situations.
