Lead Mechanical Project Specialist

We are seeking an accomplished mechanical project specialist to lead high-value projects in the critical infrastructure sector.

This role requires a degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering and 3–5 years of experience in mechanical project engineering. Proficiency in CAD tools for design and modelling is essential, as well as strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, are also required for collaboration with clients and project teams.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and quality standards. Ongoing professional development and enhancing technical knowledge are also expected.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Project Lifecycle Management: Manage the full lifecycle of mechanical projects from initial concept through to final handover, ensuring delivery is on schedule and within allocated resources.
  • Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables, providing regular updates and ensuring requirements are met or exceeded.
  • Design and Modelling: Produce and review detailed mechanical designs using advanced CAD software, maintaining comprehensive records throughout the project.
  • Inspections and Testing: Carry out regular inspections and performance tests to confirm compliance with technical specifications and safety regulations.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including reports, methodologies, and risk assessments.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in mechanical project engineering, ideally within the power generation, energy, or related industries.
  • Strong proficiency in CAD tools for design and modelling.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and quality standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills supported by strong analytical thinking.
  • Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration with clients and project teams.
