Electrical Design Lead

As a Senior Electrical Design Engineer, you will lead the design of electrical systems for medium to large-scale building projects from concept to completion. You will oversee specifications, drawings, reports, and schedules ensuring compliance with current standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement electrical system designs that meet client requirements and project goals.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver fully integrated solutions.
  • Manage workloads, delegate tasks, and mentor junior engineers.
  • Attend client meetings, providing technical guidance throughout project stages.
  • Ensure quality assurance, compliance, and health and safety standards are met across all design outputs.
  • Contribute to fee proposals and resource planning.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Degree-qualified in Electrical or Building Services Engineering.
  • Minimum 6 years experience in electrical building services design within a consultancy environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Irish building regulations, IS standards, and CIBSE best practices.
  • Proficient in Revit and electrical design software such as Dialux, Relux, and Amtech.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating with multidisciplinary design teams and external stakeholders.
  • Chartered or actively working toward chartership (Engineers Ireland or equivalent).
  • Strong communication and team leadership skills.
