Job Description

The ideal candidate will have a passion for nutrition and healthy eating, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate complex nutrition messages through popular platforms.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Maintain relationships with government bodies and NGOs, representing our interests externally and attending events as required.
  • Act as a spokesperson on all nutrition issues and ensure satisfaction with nutrition information services provided to customers.
  • Advise on appropriate policies related to nutrition and diet.
  • Stay up-to-date with current legislation, emerging trends, and issues through regular review of relevant developments and communicate these to the business.
  • Provide nutrition training for staff at an appropriate level to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Manage recipe management systems in use in the business and ensure they are maintained and updated to meet the needs of the business and customers.
  • Work with marketing teams to underpin programs with sound nutrition policies and ensure publications meet legal requirements.
  • Ensure that business data has the relevant nutritional and health information required to meet legal obligations and customer expectations.
  • Raise awareness of nutrition through internal communications to all members of staff.
  • Identify and implement service and/or process improvements.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in the industry.
  • Third-level qualification in a relevant nutrition or food science degree.
  • Registered public health nutritionist or on track to achieve registration.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate nutrition messages/training through popular platforms.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills with intermediate-advanced level Excel and PowerPoint as a minimum requirement.
  • A passion to positively influence the subject of healthy eating.
  • Strong planning and organization skills;
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • A proactive tenacious approach to problem-solving and issue resolution.
  • The role may involve travel, so a degree of flexibility is required.
  • Clean driving license.
