Manufacturing Professional

A skilled professional is required for a Medical Devices client based in Galway. Reporting to the Automation Department, they will produce high-quality tooling and perform daily machine maintenance using CNC Milling machines, EDM Wiring Erosion Machines, surface grinders, lathes, and other conventional machine tools.

The Role
  • Interpret and verify SolidWorks drawings, sketches, or specifications to fabricate machined parts or assemblies.
  • Collaborate with customers to optimize design and manufacture of parts or modifications to existing parts.
  • Verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances of finished parts for conformance to specifications and quality requirements.
  • Operate CNC Milling machines, EDM Wiring Erosion Machines, surface grinders, lathes, and other conventional machine tools with proficiency.
  • Prepare parts for anodizing.
  • Assist designers in assembling machine parts to verify fit and function.
  • Perform mechanical assembly during machine build as part of the automation team.
  • Responsible for daily machinery maintenance within the toolroom.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Level 6 Advanced Certificate in Craft & Toolmaking.
  • At least 3-5 years' experience as a manufacturing professional.
  • Proficient in 3D CAM software (Auto Desk Fusion) and CNC machinery.
  • Experience interpreting technical drawings is essential.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Good understanding of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
