The Role of a Warehouse Manager is crucial to the smooth operation of our Distribution Centre in Cork. As a senior leader, you will be responsible for providing strong leadership and direction to the warehouse team, including all support functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clear direction to all team members and plan, organize, supervise, and participate in daily warehouse operations.
  • Train, supervise, and evaluate the performance of assigned warehouse employees, assigning workloads to warehouse workers as needed.
  • Assist the warehouse team in picking, loading, and unloading stock throughout the warehouse, while maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment.
  • Ensure all administration functions are completed correctly and on time, including statutory records, timekeeping, and disciplinary management administration.
  • Organize workload for warehouse operatives and manage daily schedules for drivers, resolving outstanding logistics issues in a timely manner.
  • Manage and develop direct reports to achieve business goals and objectives, maintaining necessary records in accordance with RSA rules and regulations.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in leading a team in a warehouse environment, with a proven track record.
  • Proven IT skills, including Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook, with a strong ability to manage stock control systems.
  • Strong organisational and self-management skills, with the ability to manage a variety of tasks within a busy environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work in a pressurised environment and with individuals at all levels.
