Activity Director

To deliver exceptional experiences for our residents, we seek an Organiser of Engaging Activities to join our dynamic activities team at a leading healthcare provider.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and coordinate daily programmes that cater to diverse interests and abilities.
  • Meet new residents, identify their preferences, and encourage participation in engaging activities.
  • Collaborate with residents to tailor the activities programme and respond to their wishes.
  • Build relationships with the local community and foster cross-generational connections.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices in activities for older people and research innovative ideas.
Requirements:
  • QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support or equivalent qualification is preferred.
  • Previous experience as an activity assistant or coordinator would be advantageous.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills are essential.
  • A deep understanding of older people's interests and needs is required.
  • Knowledge of HIQA Standards and a commitment to further training are expected.
