Job Title: Transport Operations Director

We are seeking an experienced Transport Manager to lead a busy, high-performing team. The role involves managing day-to-day operations, handling resources and planning, driving engagement, training, and ongoing development across the team.

This is a varied, hands-on role with plenty of ownership and visibility across the business.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Managing a team of drivers and helpers – leading from the front
  • Handling day-to-day operations: resourcing, planning, safety, and performance
  • Driving engagement, training, and ongoing development across the team
  • Working closely with customer service and sales to keep service levels high

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing key areas such as KPIs, budgets, and improvement projects. You will work closely with other departments to ensure smooth operations and maintain high standards.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in transport management, strong leadership skills, and the ability to motivate and organise teams effectively.

You will also need to be confident working with data and analytics, able to plan and implement strategies to improve efficiency and productivity.
