Payroll Administrator Job Role

 

This role involves managing pay frequencies for businesses in Northern Ireland, administering payroll services, and providing key administration support.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Liaising with clients to ensure timely updates to their spreadsheets.
  • Entering new employees into software using a starter checklist and checking HMRC for any changes.
  • Processing payrolls according to client instructions, including calculating salaries.
  • Managing pension contributions from employees and employers, uploading these to the relevant pension scheme.

Key Requirements:

  • At least 3 years' experience in an accountancy practice or payroll bureau.
  • Previous experience as a first point of contact with clients or employees.
  • Good working knowledge of practical payroll matters and current legislation.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with Sage Bureau Manager/Sage 50 Payroll, Micropay, Thesaurus, and Xero.
