Job Overview

Our organization is seeking a highly skilled Project Planner to join our team. This role will involve collaborating with the Estimating and Construction Teams in preparing programs for Pre-Qualification, Tendering, and Contract purposes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop high-quality project plans that meet company expectations, within allocated timeframes and project deadlines.
  • Conduct technical appraisals of Pre-Qualification and tender documents, analyzing implications affecting the project, program durations, and relevant requests for information.
  • Provide analysis of contractual documents regarding time schedules, milestones, and value engineering options.
  • Liaise with the tendering team to ensure compliant bid submissions according to Employer and Tender Requirements.
  • Offer technical support to the Estimating Department and Construction Teams as required.
  • Prepare project stage programs including critical path analysis and tracking.
  • Develop work packages programs defining scheduled installation tasks with sketch proposals for logical sequences.
  • Assist the Project Manager in tracking the project against its master plan and budget.
  • Support the Project Manager in developing recovery plans for off-schedule and unanticipated eventualities.
  • Establish, communicate, track, and report site installation progress if necessary.
  • Assist in preparing contractor reports assigned by the Project Manager.
  • Participate in project meetings and revise the construction program as per conclusions, advising the Project Team on any implications.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Construction or Engineering-related degree
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience working in a similar role with a Main Contractor or Engineering Consulting firm
  • Thorough knowledge of computer programming software such as Primavera, MS Project, and ASTA Power Project
  • Solid working knowledge of other software and window-based packages, including AutoCad, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Knowledge or working experience of 3D Modelling software/ BIM experience would be beneficial
  • Proven experience of the tender and contract stage of projects
  • Solid understanding of the construction industry and the regulatory environment
  • Track record of working under pressure and to tight deadlines with ability to prioritize
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
