**Clinical Nurse Manager 3 Role Overview**The Endoscopy Unit at Mercy University Hospital, Cork requires a highly skilled Clinical Nurse Manager 3 to oversee its operations. This role involves ensuring that all patients receive high-quality care and services.Main Responsibilities:
  • Ensuring compliance with professional nursing practice standards as per NMBI requirements
  • Promoting the continuing professional development of staff through training programs and workshops
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant nursing literature, research, and developments in endoscopy nursing management, education, and practice
  • Efficiently managing the Endoscopy Unit while maintaining a high standard of patient care
  • Collaborating with the Nurse Management Team to effectively manage services
  • Developing and operating assigned services through forward planning and resource organization
  • Meeting National Key Performance Indicators and targets related to the Endoscopy Service
  • Liaising closely with consultants, CNM2s, senior nursing staff, and multidisciplinary team members
  • Developing, monitoring, and maintaining performance indicators pertinent to the Endoscopy Unit
Eligibility Criteria:
  • Registration in the relevant division of the Register of Nurses & Midwives maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)
  • At least 5 years of full-time post-registration experience, including 2 years in the related area as a CNM1/CNM2
  • Clinical, managerial, and administrative capacity to discharge the functions of the role
