The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) seeks a dedicated professional to join their Consumer Protection Division as a Consumer Protection Executive.

This exciting role offers the opportunity to make a significant contribution to the protection of consumers and represent the CCPC at national and international forums.

As a key member of the division, you will be responsible for managing enforcement requests, participating in EU-coordinated joint actions, and engaging with traders to ensure compliance with consumer protection legislation.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Actively contributing to the work of the Consumer Protection Division, including managing enforcement requests and participating in joint actions.">
  • Carrying out screenings to assess non-compliance by traders, preparing reports, and drafting engagement letters.">
  • Representing the CCPC at national and international forums, requiring occasional travel.">
  • Supporting stakeholder engagement and awareness campaigns related to consumer protection legislation.">
  • Responding to queries from external stakeholders and other government departments.">

Essential qualifications include:

  • ">
  • A third-level degree in a relevant discipline or minimum 2 years' comparable professional experience in case handling within a compliance/regulatory environment.">
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to write clear, focused reports.">
  • Evidence of analytical and problem-solving skills.">
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise work to meet strict deadlines.">
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team environment.">

Desirable qualifications include postgraduate or professional qualifications in law, economics, business, regulation compliance, or similar fields. Experience conducting open-source investigations, assisting with enforcement actions, and working with other agencies or stakeholders is also desirable.
