Job Title

We are seeking a seasoned Automation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of the Issuer technology team, you will play a vital role in managing test engineering areas, optimizing automation and non-functional testing standards, and driving best practices for regression automation, inline automation, and non-functional testing.

About the Role

  • Support Automation Lead in overseeing test engineering areas and ensuring seamless execution of automated tests.
  • Collaborate with project leads to develop comprehensive automation plans and performance strategies.
  • Built/optimize the automation framework for new projects to ensure efficient testing processes.
  • Conduct code review for the team, focusing on implementing best practices and maintaining high-quality code standards.
  • Succinctly interpret and clarify business requirements, translating them into actionable case designs for complex solutions.
  • Contribute innovative ideas on technology and processes to enhance team productivity and success.
  • Build common utilities to streamline testing efficiency and improve overall quality.
  • Collaborate with global teams and participate in regular calls to ensure alignment and effective communication.

Requirements

  • Significant experience in software testing, preferably in investment banking or related sectors.
  • Proven track record in automation test development using Java/Python.
  • Bachelor's/master's degree in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, EE, mathematics, or related fields.
  • Certification in software testing, such as ISTQB, is a plus.
  • Financial knowledge or background can be advantageous.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Excellent understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) principles and agile methodologies.
  • Proficient in SQL and database management systems.
  • Strong programming skills in one language, preferably Python or Java.
  • Experience with designing and implementing automation frameworks like Selenium, Appium, or similar tools.
  • Familiarity with bug tracking systems like Jira, Bugzilla.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical/problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently, multi-task, take ownership, and drive strategy.
