We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Care Worker to join our team.
This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires individuals who can provide exceptional care and support to people with intellectual disabilities.
The successful candidate will be responsible for attending to daily service users' needs, adopting respectful relationships, advocating independence, and assisting with physical care, daily living, and social skills.
Duties and Responsibilities:- Resident Care: Provide daily care and support to service users, promoting their dignity and well-being.
- Community Integration: Facilitate leisure activities and ensure engagement in the community, enhancing quality of life.
- Household Management: Assist with budgeting, cooking, shopping, and maintaining cleanliness, encouraging resident participation.
- Medication Administration: Administer and record prescribed medication accurately.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records and reports as required.
- Visitor Engagement: Foster a welcoming environment for visitors.
- A HETAC-accredited Diploma/Degree in Social Care or a qualification in Nursing (RNID) or eligibility for CORU registration under the standards of proficiency.
- Experience working with adults and/or children with intellectual disabilities.
- Experience working with challenging behavior in a residential setting.
- A full driver's license (manual).
