We are currently seeking a Relief Chef to join our team in Limerick. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for flexible work hours and a diverse range of kitchen roles.
This role is ideal for those who value flexibility and want to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment. We offer full-time or part-time shifts to suit your schedule, whether you're available one or two days a week or more.
As a Relief Chef, you will be responsible for preparing food in the kitchen while maintaining high standards of quality and cleanliness. You will also be expected to adhere to health and safety guidelines, follow standard operating procedures, and assist with menu planning to ensure profit margins are met.
To succeed in this role, you will need to have a proven track record in a professional kitchen or catering kitchen environment. You should hold relevant food safety certificates, including manual handling, and possess a passion for food and service. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work under pressure are also essential.
Key responsibilities:
Prepare food in the kitchen to a high standard of quality and cleanliness.
Adhere to all health and safety guidelines while on site.
Assist with menu planning to ensure gross profit margin is achieved.
Ensure highest standards in stock control, portion control, and quality control.
Provide professional customer service when needed and respect to all other staff within the kitchen/restaurant.
Requirements:
1-2 years' experience in a professional kitchen or catering kitchen environment.
All relevant food safety certificates, including manual handling.
Possession of a valid manual handling certificate.
Passion for food and service.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Ability to work under pressure.
Strong organizational and time management skills with a high degree of flexibility.
