Financial Services Tax Director

We are working with the head of financial services tax to help hire a Financial Services Tax Directors and Associate Directors to join their rapidly growing team.

The client is a leading firm in Ireland with over 3000 people across multiple offices globally, offering a global network of over 62,000 people and close ties with other international firms.

As Financial Services Tax Director or Associate Director, you will be responsible for providing solutions to complex technical issues, demonstrating sufficient technical knowledge to develop solutions to these issues, and managing a team in performing assignments on a day-to-day basis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide financial services tax services to a range of clients across various sectors including asset management, banking, securitisation, aviation finance, leasing, insurance, and fintech.
  • Support clients' transactions, compliance obligations, and assess their tax strategies.
  • Manage the implementation of advisory and compliance projects, meeting deadlines, prioritization, and billings.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Qualified ATT/ACA/ACCA or CTA.
  • Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience in financial services tax department either in industry or professional services.
  • Strong technical knowledge and proven ability to identify opportunities for clients and grow the financial services tax offering.
  • Capable of working independently and building trusted relationships with clients and the team.
  • Proven business development skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and proven people development skills to support junior staff.
