Catering Operations Manager Position

This is a senior management role that involves leading and managing the catering team, including day-to-day operations, budget control, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Operations Management
    • Manage catering teams to deliver high-quality food and beverage services.
    • Lead rotas, recruitment, training, and performance of team members.
    • Maintain compliance with food hygiene, health & safety, and company policies at all times.
  • Budget Management
    • Monitor and manage catering budgets, cost controls, and stock levels.
    • Ensure financial targets are met by implementing effective cost-saving measures.
  • Customer Service
    • Develop menus in collaboration with clients and culinary teams.
    • Build strong working relationships with clients and other service managers on-site.
    • Conduct regular quality checks, audits, and customer feedback assessments.
  • Training and Development
    • Ensure staff are trained on allergens, food safety, and operational procedures.

Requirements

  • Leadership Skills
    • Proven experience as a Catering or Hospitality Manager, preferably within a facilities or contract catering environment.
    • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Organisational Skills
    • Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.
  • Education and Certifications
    • Food Safety and Hygiene certification (minimum Level 2; Level 3 preferred)
    • Health & Safety training (e.g. COSHH, Manual Handling)
