Job Title

Manufacturing Technician

As a manufacturing technician, you will play a crucial role in the efficient operation of our production lines.

Responsibilities:
  • Repair and troubleshoot electro/mechanical equipment failures to minimize downtime and ensure optimal productivity.
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance procedures to prevent equipment failure and extend its lifespan.
  • Assist in the installation, setup, and refurbishment of equipment to ensure it is properly configured and functioning as expected.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of maintenance activities, including records of equipment performance and any issues encountered.
  • Record significant downtime issues and resolutions in relevant databases to track trends and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with other departments as needed to coordinate equipment repairs and ensure seamless communication.
  • Work proactively to meet performance targets, focusing on yield, quality, production uptime, and process stability.
  • Identify potential problems that may impact capacity and quality, communicating them promptly to the business unit team leader and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Attend pass-downs as required and provide regular status updates to maintain transparency and ensure smooth operations.
  • Contribute to the failed spare parts management process by providing detailed input and insights.
  • Support process engineers in driving continuous improvements and ensuring ongoing efficiency gains.
  • Train and assist junior technicians and operators to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Successful candidates will possess strong technical abilities, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a commitment to achieving manufacturing excellence.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience as a technician in a high-volume automated environment.
  • Certification, diploma, or senior trades in electrical/mechanical engineering or equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of PLCs, motor drives, pneumatic, and hydraulic components is advantageous.
