Steel Production Supervisor Job

We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to oversee daily production operations in our steel manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct all aspects of the production lifecycle from raw material sourcing to final product delivery.
  • Monitor and manage daily output to meet scheduled targets and customer deadlines.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and internal specifications.
Team Leadership:
  • Lead a team of fabricators and operatives to deliver operational excellence.
  • Set performance goals, provide mentoring, and support skills development.
  • Foster a positive, solutions-focused culture on the production floor.
Planning & Coordination:
  • Collaborate with designers to ensure production aligns with technical specifications.
  • Work with procurement to secure timely delivery of raw materials and components.
  • Coordinate with logistics to ensure on-time dispatch and delivery of finished products.
Continuous Improvement:
  • Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies and implement process improvements.
  • Maintain up-to-date Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Drive lean manufacturing principles where applicable.
Health, Safety & Compliance:
  • Ensure all operations meet Health & Safety standards.
  • Promote a culture of safety awareness and accountability.
  • Conduct risk assessments and maintain safety documentation.

Required: Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role, ideally within steel fabrication or construction manufacturing. Proven ability to lead production teams in a high-paced environment. Strong working knowledge of steel fabrication techniques (e.g., CNC, cutting, welding). Background in manufacturing systems and process optimisation. Third-level qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field desirable.
