Young Adult Mental Health Therapist

We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our progressive team based in Portlaoise, Co. Laois.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about working with young adults navigating complex mental health challenges and have strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively within a team and with service users.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conduct occupational therapy assessments to evaluate the impact of mental health conditions on daily life
  • Develop and implement individualised intervention plans to support independent living, education, and social participation
  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver one-to-one and group-based interventions focused on enhancing functional skills, coping strategies, and overall well-being

Required qualifications include a BSc in Occupational Therapy or equivalent and full CORU registration.

Previous experience in Mental Health or Young Adult Services is desirable but not essential.

Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload are also essential for this role.
