About the PositionOur organization seeks a dedicated Relief Social Care Worker to join its established intellectual disability service in Galway. Our mission is to empower individuals with the necessary skills to lead fulfilling and satisfying lives as equal citizens within their communities.
Key Responsibilities- Support service users in their daily activities, promoting independence and engagement in meaningful pursuits.
- Build positive relationships with service users and staff members, fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Assist with residential service upkeep, ensuring a safe and healthy living space.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
- Perform other tasks outlined by your manager.
- Minimum QQI Level 7 in Social Care or a related field, or registration with CORU.
- At least one year's experience working with adults with complex needs.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating adaptability and resilience.
- Calm and empathetic approach, essential for effective communication with service users.
- Full clean driver's license, facilitating transportation needs.
