Electrical Engineer Job Opportunity

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our team in delivering protection solutions for various projects at a range of voltages from 10 kV to 38 kV. The successful candidate will work closely with the team in specifying, evaluating tenders, designing and testing protection and control devices for our national and international stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop configurations for multifunction application devices and apply standard protection and control schematic designs for distribution protection IEDs.
  • Modify protection IED logic with user-defined programmable logic to achieve specified application performance.
  • Create acceptance test plans and procedures for distribution protection IEDs.
  • Develop technical specifications and review submitted tenders for distribution protection IED enquiries.
  • Provide expert technical support and knowledge to all stakeholders.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • At least five years' experience creating detailed designs in substation secondary systems design or protection and/or control application engineering.
  • Experience in developing protection IED specifications and reviewing tender submissions.
  • A Level 8 Qualification in Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience.
  • A strong focus on delivery to safety, time, quality and cost objectives.
  • Excellent commercial and project management capability.
  • A flexible approach to work and excellent customer service skills.
  • A proven track record of contributing to the training and development of technical professionals.
