Job Description We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Childcare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will hold a QQI Level 5 or 6 qualification in Early Childhood Care and Education (or equivalent) and will be responsible for supporting the daily operations of our ECCE program Support the operation in the day-to-day running of the classroom Remuneration: 14.15 with Level 5 qualification Discretionary Christmas Bonus Additional Remuneration with Qualifications: QQI ELC Level 6: Additional 0.50 per hour QQI ELC Level 7: Additional 1.00 per hour QQI ELC Level 8: Additional 1.50 per hour Health and Wellbeing Benefits Healthcare Plan Bike to work scheme Maternity leave support Annual eye test supported Weekly professional gym exercise classes Good Friday holiday Education and Training Professional development supported in addition to mandatory training, to include; QQI ELC Childcare Inclusion and Diversity Challenging Behaviour Roles and Responsibilities Assist in planning and implementing an appropriate curriculum in line with Aistear and Síolta frameworks Provide high-quality care and education to children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues Document childrens progress, ensuring records are maintained in line with Tusla requirements Previous experience in a childcare setting, particularly within an ECCE environment, is desirable Strong understanding of child development and early years education Excellent communication and interpersonal skills A warm, caring, and patient approach to working with children Garda Vetting is required prior to commencement The successful candidate must have QQI Level 5 or 6.
