The business understands that attracting, nurturing, and retaining top talent is essential to long-term success. A comprehensive People Strategy is in place to support this, closely aligned with the organisation’s broader goals. As part of this journey, they are now seeking to appoint a senior leader to oversee and evolve their facilities' functions in line with future needs and strategic ambitions. Responsibilities Define and implement our client’s workplace and health & safety policies in line with current legislation and recognised industry standards.Create plans and execution roadmaps to bring these strategies to life, ensuring they align with business needs while remaining cost-effective.Oversee the risk management framework by conducting assessments to pinpoint potential dangers and implementing preventive measures to reduce incidents.Lead the design and rollout of health and safety training initiatives for all employees and applicable third-party contractors.Collaborate with the Chief People & Capability Officer on investigations into health & safety incidents, driving root cause analysis, corrective actions, and risk mitigation.Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of health and safety activity and prepare reports and insights for the Board, Executive Team, and relevant external parties.Ensure full regulatory compliance by staying abreast of changes in health & safety legislation and understanding their impact on both our clients and the wider sector.Work closely with management and employees across the group to reinforce a safety-first mindset and uphold required accreditations.Oversee external service partnerships in facilities management, security, and catering, ensuring service excellence and cost efficiency.Direct the execution of facilities-related projects from planning through to delivery.Define and monitor performance standards through clear Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to ensure optimal service performance. What You Will Need to Succeed 8 years’ experience in managing health & safety.A minimum of eight years’ experience in overseeing health and safety functions.Solid knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations and legal requirements.Proven background in managing workplace facilities and overseeing third-party service providers.Demonstrated ability to lead high-performing teams through periods of change and transition.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.Well-developed operational and process management capabilities, with experience in service-oriented or operations-driven settings.
