Cpl are currently looking to hire an experienced Bookkeeper to join our busy and growing accountancy practice in Cork. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, is confident managing high volumes of transactional work, and has experience working across multiple clients.

This role will suit someone with at least 2 years' experience in a practice setting, who is comfortable with day-to-day bookkeeping, VAT returns, reconciliations, and communicating directly with clients. We're a friendly, professional team that values accuracy, efficiency, and proactive communication.

What You'll Be Doing:

Processing large volumes of purchase and sales invoices for a range of clientsCompleting bank, debtor, and creditor reconciliationsPreparing and submitting VAT returns in line with Revenue deadlinesMaintaining client records and general ledgers accurately and on timePosting journals (accruals, prepayments, depreciation) where appropriateLiaising with clients to request information and resolve queriesSupporting the wider team during month-end and year-end processes

What We're Looking For:

Minimum 2 years' bookkeeping experience in an accountancy practiceProven ability to manage high-volume workloadsFamiliarity with Irish VAT rules and standard bookkeeping processesStrong experience with cloud accounting software – we use Xero, Surf Accounts, QuickBooks, and SageExcellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently
