Job Description We are looking for a kind, reliable AIM support worker for our preschool in Naas town centre. Minimum qualification of Level 5 in Childcare is essential but Level 6 and higher would be an advantage. The AIM support worker will be a 17 hour per week role, term time only. The right candidate will be required to complete a Garda vetting process and provide two written references. Roles and Responsibilities A love for working with preschool childrenLooking after the care and well being of a child with additional needs within the room setting and assisting the preschool educator by supporting all the children in the class. The role is to reduce the ratio in a particular class. Have a calm disposition Have confidence in dealing with behaviours that challenge The ability to multitask, use own initiative and work as part of a team Promoting positive relationships with parents, children and colleagues Working with the room leader to identify the changing needs of the child, being mindful of the other children in the preschool room setting and introducing strategies that will work best for all the children The successful candidate must have Must have at least a level 5 in childcare.  Fluent English Good communication skills Hours 9.15-12.15 Salary Negotiable Job Location Naas, Co Kildare Qualification Level Minimum QQI/Fetac Level 5
