Background
Children's Health Foundation raises vital funds to support sick children and their families in Children's Health Ireland (CHI) hospitals and urgent care centres at Crumlin, Temple Street, Tallaght and Connolly. Formed in 2019 through the coming together of CMRF Crumlin and Temple Street Foundation, the Foundation continues a 200-year charitable legacy that has supported Ireland's leading paediatric hospitals. In 2024 it raised €17m to fund life-saving equipment, essential patient and parental supports, and ground-breaking research. The Foundation supports Temple Street, Crumlin and Tallaght Children's Hospitals and Connolly Urgent Care Centre sites. It is also currently preparing to align with the needs of the new National Children's Hospital Ireland and continue to fund patient and parent supports, innovative medicine and ongoing research to ensure every sick child has the very best chance.
The Role
The Head of Donor Engagement & Fundraising is a newly created senior role within the Foundation, responsible for driving revenue growth and ensuring best practice in the governance of fundraising. Reporting to the Director of Development, you will lead an overall team of fifteen including four direct reports across corporate partnerships, campaigns, community fundraising, and individual giving, and work to align fundraising strategies with organisational priorities. A central part of the role will be building and maintaining strong donor relationships across multiple segments, while harnessing data, technology, and emerging trends to deliver innovative approaches and a best-in-class supporter experience.
The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record in fundraising and donor engagement, ideally within the not-for-profit sector. You will be a confident and empathetic relationship builder, with the leadership skills to inspire, support, and develop a multi-functional team through change, fostering collaboration and motivation. Above all, you will be aligned with CHF's mission and passionate about making a real difference in the community it serves.
If you're a strategic leader with strong fundraising expertise, team management and donor acquisition experience, we'd love to hear from you.
