Location Tallaght 3 days a week, (Flexible Hours) (Hybrid 1 day from home)
We're looking for a proactive, detail-driven Bookkeeper on a part-time basis. To work in a supportive team environment with autonomy and variety working for a long-established, reputable company.
Responsibilities
Sales Ledger & Credit Control
Maintain and update daily lodgement spreadsheets for the sales team. Post daily customer receipts and allocations in Sage 50 Accounts. Manage bank lodgements and reconcile customer payments. Prepare and issue monthly customer statements (+ active accounts). Carry out structured credit control to ensure timely payments. Purchases & Accounts Payable
Process supplier invoices: PO matching, entry into Sage, and payment scheduling. Maintain up-to-date records for + suppliers. Perform monthly supplier reconciliations and prepare payment runs. General Bookkeeping & Reporting
Reconcile multiple bank accounts monthly. Prepare weekly and monthly financial reports for the parent company. Submit accurate VAT, VIES, and VAT RTD returns. Conduct monthly analysis of visa and Pleo expenses. Support month-end closing with journal entries and accrual listings. Maintain Sage backups and conduct regular data integrity checks. Assist the Accountant with year-end audit prep and statutory accounts. Ad hoc reporting and support as needed. Key requirements
A solid foundation in bookkeeping, ideally 3+ years' experience. Proficiency in Sage 50 Accounts Professional. Accounting Technician qualification (or working towards it) is a plus. Strong Excel and general IT skills. Great attention to detail, organisational skills, and ability to meet deadlines. A collaborative mindset – someone who can work independently, but also as part of a small, close-knit team. Flexibility to adapt in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
