Location: Little Island, Cork

Reporting to: Warehouse Manager

Contract: 6 months fixed-term contract

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Salary:€30,000 per annum (pro rata to €15,000 for 6-month contractual period)

About the Job

The key duties are: picking and packing orders, booking in and putting away stock (ambient, chilled, and frozen) working with volunteers where applicable, adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations, loading and unloading vehicles for distribution and collection of food and ensuring the ongoing success of Hub for FoodCloud

Key Responsibilities

Comply, on a daily basis, with issues including food hygiene, health and safety, security of the van, and the safety and wellbeing of all staff and volunteersCarrying out deliveries and collections to and from food suppliers and charity partners as requiredMaintain a positive relationship and good communication with food suppliers and community member recipient projectsReview all supplier and charity collections with the Hubs Manager on a daily basisWork with the Hubs Manager to implement new and existing operational and logistics proceduresAssist the Hubs Manager with warehouse duties: Goods In, Dispatch,, picking orders, stock taking, general housekeeping, and other duties per business needsLoad vehicles and distribute products to charities on a daily basisEnsure that the vehicles used by the Hub are inspected, maintained, roadworthy, and legal (taxed and insured, etc.). This will include weekly cleaning of vansBe responsible for the Health and Safety of yourself and others around youComply with all FoodCloud policies and procedures and with industry standards as required by food donors and regulatorsComply with monitoring and regulation systems as required for the organisation's activities and report on these regularly to the Hubs ManagerOther duties as required per business needs 

Skills & Experience

At least 2 year’s experience of working in one or more of the following areas: food distribution, warehousing operationExperience of working in a highly regulated environmentExperience working in a team environmentExperience with operating a pallet truck, and other warehouse handling equipment, or forklift operation experience a bonusSuccessful candidate must hold or be willing to gain Level 1 certification in Food Safety for CateringCategory B full licenceMust be able to complete and maintain documentation for food safety, vehicle checks, and health and safety requirements
