Main duties and responsibilities
The successful candidate will carry out a variety of duties in line with the operational standards and strategic objectives of the Department, to include
Drafting material for and attendance at a variety of regulatory meetingsDrafting reports for cross sectional and inter-departmental information sharingDrafting and submission of statutory reports to external bodiesLiaison with external stakeholders at national and international levelManagement of data, analysis and reporting relating to AML complianceDevelopment of educational aids to promote best practice in AML/CFTSpeaking to promote information relating to the professions' AML/CFT obligationsProvision of AML guidance to the profession via the AML HelplineEssential Skills
A third level qualification (ideally but not confined to) law, compliance, AML/ML, accounting or similar and/or experience working in a statutory body or as a solicitor.Exceptional organisational skills and an ability to multitask in a high paced settingExperience of working in multi-disciplinary teamsAn excellent command of written and spoken EnglishA record of success in working on complex mattersProficiency in various IT systems, particularly database systemsExperience of stakeholder engagementDiscretion and corresponding ability to handle sensitive information with integrityDesirable Skills
Professional qualification as a solicitor, accountant or other related professionExperience of working in areas relating to Ireland's AML/CFT frameworkKnowledge of EU lawRemuneration & Benefits
Salary Approx 65,000Hybrid Working35 Hour work weekTraining & development opportunitiesPensionPlease note this is initially a 12-month contract, with a view to becoming permanent.
