Graduate Sales Engineer
At Staffline Recruitment we are working on behalf of a market leading company who are seeking to recruit a motivated and enthusiastic Graduate Engineer to take up an internal technical sales role within their organisation.
The successful candidate will proactively communicate with an established customer base and build strong working relationships with key account customers. The purpose of this role will be to ensure best in class customer service while also proactively increasing core product sales.
Applicants will have a relevant engineering related third level academic or vocational qualification. Direct experience in or indirect commercial exposure to the process, mechanical and/or electrical engineering, safety systems, plumbing or 'hard' facilities management segments would be advantageous.
Key responsibilities will include the following:
Handling Customer enquiries / sales support enquiries and technical quotations. Managing existing accounts, phone-based salesCompiling and maintaining an appropriate business development pipeline for area of responsibilityBuild relationships with the various companies throughout the customer baseMaintain a sales focused attitude in all dealings with the customer baseOperate in a proactive fashion to best publicise products and secure orders and additional revenue through regular contactIdentifying and qualifying relevant sales and specification opportunitiesDeveloping and maintaining an accurate database of relevant specifiers and contractorsInitiation and facilitation of virtual CPD and product training sessions (webinar and workshop)Maintaining currency of product documentation, samples, displaysAchieving sales target for area of responsibility (revenue & GM)Maintain a positive attitude and foster a passion for the company and products you representMaintain and increase sales by timely and active communication with the customer base, Highlight offers, and incentives as requiredMaintain the CRM system all sales, order, contact, customer, lead and supplier information within System. Enter, maintain, and update all activity within SystemOffice based support to the external sales teamHave an awareness of the complete product offeringInterested applicants will meet the following requirements:
Graduate, Degree in Mechanical or manufacturing EngineeringAn understanding of sales and customer serviceAn outgoing and positive personalityAbility to attain basic customer/technical/product knowledge within a relatively short period of time (3-6months)Able to use initiative to follow general guidelines to achieve goalsAbility to work unaided and unsupervised as part of the wider teamStrong knowledge of MS Office including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPointRemote / Virtual platforms including MS Teams, Zoom and SkypeAmbition with a desire to pursue a career within Engineering SalesThis is a permanent position that will offer a salary in the region of €35,000 - €40,000.
