DP Process Development Portfolio Manager - Dun Laoghaire, DublinOffice/Project Location:Dun Laoghaire, DublinEmployment Type: ContractWork Location: Hybrid 2 days per week on site. Pay: €60 - €70 per hourExperience: 7+ years Visa: EU passport or Stamp 4 visa requiredOur client is a leading international Biotechnology company with a state of the art aseptic manufacturing facility in Dun Laoghaire, South Dublin. The plant is one of the most dynamic in Ireland and is currently undergoing rapid expansion and capital investment. This is an excellent opportunity to get experience into Ireland's leading aseptic manufacturing plant.You will report to the Sr. Manager Process Development in the Portfolio Management and Delivery (PMD) group and will be responsible for managing new product introduction and lifecycle management projects Dun Laoghaire for drug product (DP) and finished drug products (FDP). You will have at least five to eight years of experience within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry and will have demonstrated project management skills.Arrange agreement among the project team, customers, and management on the goals of the projectDevelops and maintains the Project schedule/plan that addresses quality, objective, scope, cost, schedule, resources, and responsibilities - to deliver the project, and measure progress against schedule and budgetEffectively communicate with everyone involved in the projectHave a controlled scope in place, that is understood by all stakeholders and maintained throughout completion of the projectExecute prudent risk and issue management.Maintains Actions/Risk and Decision logsGenerates and owns the GMP change control.Motivate, support and direct project team members to deliver on project plan.Leads Team meetings and cross functional collaborationWorks with resource managers from across the organisation to effectively obtain and allocate resources to complete programs and projects on timeCompliance Related TasksAlways ensure compliance to cGMPEnsure safety & compliance standards are maintained to the highest standardsEnsure financial compliance in line with Business & Financial guidanceSupport a culture of personal responsibility within reporting structureRequirementsTechnical Degree and/or Masters’ or equivalent5-8 years of experience (including min of 3yrs as Project Manager) in a Life Science / Pharmaceutical / Biotechnology EnvironmentPreferred Experience: Portfolio Management, Portfolio Resource Management, Business Case DevelopmentExperience in a leadership role in a pharmaceutical or biotech manufacturing facility that engages with site SMEs and managers, and global functionsThe ability to influence and lead cross functional teams to deliver to ensure the smooth introduction of new products and the health of existing productsThe ability to work independently and identify risks and mitigation pathways for new and existing productsStrong project management skills – someone who really understand what it is to be a good project manager.Understand details – understand the critical path, the issues, and what needs to be escalated and what can be absorbed. Strong Communication – ability to communicate issues and challenges.Desirable: Agile / Lean Project Management Methodologies.Desirable: MES Experience – a candidate who understands how they’re implemented from a Project perspective.A passion for continuous improvement applied to product and program leadershipSystems / Equipment:Smartsheet, MS Office, MS Project, MS PowerPoint and MS Visio,Trackwise Change Control & Document Management SystemsHigh Energy and CommitmentAbility to work independentlyComfortable leading across multiple stakeholders & multinational teamsStrong ability to influence and affect changeCapable of resolving issues of conflict effectivelyStrong communicatorA proven track record in the ability to transfer goals and objectives into measurable plansAbility to identify gaps/risks and put appropriate remediation plans in placeUses strong relationships to identify requirements and potential opportunitiesEmploys project management techniques and Problem SolvingProvides leadership, guidance, and advice in own field of project managementPackageContract role - Hourly rate €60 - €70 per hourMinimum 12 month contract with the possibility of an extension. Onsite Expectations: Initially 5 days per week for the first two weeks to help integration into the team and interact with people. Then, work towards a balance hybrid scenario which is two days per week.
